Students at Percy Priest Elementary learn world
geography from an inflatable globe.

The world has changed a lot in the last two weeks. Teachers and parents are looking for ways to help students learn remotely.

This webpage will give you some ideas, based on grade level.

A quick summary: TN History for Kids has two main parts: this free website, and a series of $2 "textbooklets" written  to help students learn the specific topics and standards that Tennessee requires in its public school curriculum.

Since landforms and basic world geography are third grade topics, one of the third-grade booklets focuses on geography. Since there is a full semester of Tennessee history in fifth grade, two of the three TN History for Kids fifth grade booklets are about Tennessee history.

We create booklets for grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 11. We do not produce booklets for grades in which the students focus on world history, such as grades 6, 7 and 9.

Having said all of this, there is a HUGE amount of Tennessee history lessons and information on this website which can, and is, used by students in specific grades.
