Photos of the Year 2008

The first photo in the collection is the saddest. In Columbus, Ohio, we ran across this cemetery on the former site of a Confederate prisoner of war camp called Camp Chase. In this tiny enclosed place lie the remains of 2,260 soldiers, all of whom died far away from home and many of whom were from Tennessee. You can sit in this cemetery and ponder it all you like, but there is no way to possibly comprehend what these men went through.
