TROUSDALE COUNTY

The abandoned nuclear plant

County Seat: Hartsville

Trousdale County is home to a huge nuclear power plant that the Tennessee Valley Authority never finished. You can see the never-operational Hartsville nuclear plant from nearly 20 miles away. And if you can think of a use for it, please tell someone, because the people in Trousdale County have been trying to do something with it for 20 years.

Trousdale County is also the answer to a rather obvious trivia question: With 110 square miles, it is the smallest county geographically.

Here's a snapshot of the Trousdale County Courthouse.
